Simple Crock-Pot Chili

Looking for a great and basic chili crock-pot recipe for fall? Check it out :)


  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 large green pepper
  • 1 large jalapeƱo pepper
  • 2 cans crush tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 2 cans chili hot beans
  • 2 tablespoons of chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons of garlic salt
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cheese, avocado and onion as garnish


  • Brown ground beef and put ground beef in crock pot.

  • Saute chopped onion, jalapeno pepper and green pepper in the same pan. Put vegetable mixture into crock pot and mix with beef.

  • Add spices and let sit 1 hour to enhance flavors (if in a rush, ok to skip the hour wait)
  • Add tomatoes, tomato paste and beans
  • Cook in crock pot on low for 8-10 hours. 
  • Top with avocado, onions, and shredded Mexican cheese blend and slices of a french roll for dipping.
  • Also great on top of hamburgers or hot dogs!
